Hi
I'm doing a storage benchmark to compare a shelf of spindles against an all flash-array for use in a VDI deployment.
I was wondering if it's plausible to run vscsiStats on a live ESXi host for a full day and then replay the trace back to ioanalyzer. I know the drill but I'm not sure whether this is stupid (perfromance impact, log size) or business as usual. The idea is to capture storage behavior from a host hosting live Win7 VMs for a day and then reproduce that workload on the all-flash array.
Many thanks
